What you'll do
Get an introduction to the fun and unique world of Taiko drums at this Japanese drumming workshop in Ultimo, Sydney. This fun group experience will energise, stimulate and excite your senses as you work in a team and feel the rhythm of taiko through your whole body. Not only is this a fun musical experience, you'll also get in some exercise!
Taiko drumming is a very physical activity, helping to reduce stress, aid in relaxation and connect people through music. With highly trained performers and teachers guiding you through the workshop, you will get all the attention you need and have lots of fun in the process.
This workshop is a general introduction to the taiko, in which you receive instruction in the basics of stance, grip and stroke-making. You will also learn a short piece of music to play together towards the end of the session.
