4.8 (33)I learnt about plants from my grandfather. I would watch him pull carrots out of the ground and wipe the dirt off on his pants. He would bend down from his place in the clouds, where giants lived, and hand them to me. It felt magical. And it still feels like that every time I start working my fingers through the root of plants for my terrarium.

The teacher and assistants were so lovely and approachable. Very knowledgeable and professional. The assortment of plants and rocks etc were great. Loved the brochure as well.

The class was amazing - very instructive and Jo gave lots of information on how the terrariums actually work and why they are self sustaining. Lots of different materials supplied and each one was very unique. I took my partner and we had such a great time!

Jo was a wonderful and enthusiastic teacher. My class was held at her home which made me feel right at home learning about terrariums.
Provided was all of the items you could possibly need for a terrarium, from the beautiful glass jars through to driftwood and pebbles. I loved searching through them all to find items that called out to me.
The experience was exceptional and extremely good value for money. Jo honestly taught me so much about how terrariums (and springtails) work I feel well placed to look after my new terrarium.
What I liked most, well, I can't just pick one thing! I love my new baby terrarium and plants so much

Everything was provided and Jo was super helpful in explaining how a terrarium works and each step. Everyone’s came out so different and unique, it was super cool! Would recommend, love my terrarium!

Thank you so much Jo and Noah, we loved it! Both Jo and Noah were very knowledgeable and genuine people - no question was a silly question. They provide everything we needed and we walked away with so much knowledge and a cute keepsake!
The atmosphere was great and was very comfortable. Great variety of plants, decorative stones and drift wood to pick from. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a cute date idea or unique birthday present.

Super cosy class! Instructor set us up with everything we needed to know about terrariums and was happy to give out any additional info, she even gave us contact info in case we had any questions outside of the class! The materials she made sure to use were super accessible while also including springtails (which are less easy to obtain) and a variety of plants to chose to use when building our terrariums. Was a really fun date+birthday present for my partner who started terrariums as a hobby recently :)

My son and I loved attending the terrarium class. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful and we got to take home our wonderful creations. We will definitely be doing more classes.

Jo is an amazing teacher and a wonderful human! I bought the class for my best friend’s birthday present and Jo made it a great day.
She is knowledgeable, passionate and had a great range of materials to work with. We loved the class and our finished terrariums.
I will be recommending Life In A Jar to everyone I know, and some that I don’t.

My girlfriends and I decided to have a terrarium party for my birthday.
It was held in my home so we were all very comfortable and had access to food and drinks as we went.
Jo and Noah were great. Both were very kind, supportive and knowledgeable about their craft.
I had done a lot of research and all supplies were good quality and tasteful choices.
Our terrariums looked exactly as I had imagined. We were able to use plants / rocks and colours that appealed to us.
Best thing - everyone got to take home their creation!

A really fun class and great value for money! Jo was a lovely instructor who was well educated on the content and was hands on when needed. Class was easy to follow for beginners and the variety of included supplies was great for making a unique terrarium. Would absolutely recommend this class to others!

Jo is straight up an amazing, collected, and charismatic teacher. The class was extremely well setup, and extremely well taught.
You’ll learn how to (and assemble) your own terrarium throughout the few hours and be taught everything you need to both maintain your brand new terrarium as well as head out in to the world and start crafting more.
Jo hand picks EVERYTHING! Flowers, moss, the terrarium jars, even down to the stones used in the class! Every step is explained thoroughly and Jo’s patience and love for their craft shows in every step of the class.
We did this class as a Hens-Day activity, it was nice and aircon’d, easy for everyone to follow, and gave everyone something to take home ad well. We had a few first-time gardeners and they absolutely loved it!
Could not rate it more highly! Absolutely wonderful class. Well worth it for any person with even a remote interest in art, gardens, and general creativity!

Jo was fantastic! Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Everything we needed was provided with a selection of plants so we could tailor our terrariums to suit our personal tastes. The venue was lovely, easy to find and nice and bright and airy. Absolutely value for money, I’ll be doing another class with Jo soon for sure. 10/10 can’t recommend highly enough!
