What you'll do
Got a creative kid who loves hands-on DIY projects? Join Cones Studio's wheel throwing course in Melbourne for eight weeks of fun where your kid will learn how to make their own unique ceramic pieces from scratch!
Over the eight sessions, the kids will learn the basic skills to master the pottery wheel from a friendly expert. Beginning with techniques to help them create simple forms, your kids will then progress to making more intricate vessels. They'll get the opportunity to feel their creativity flowing as they get hands-on and learn how to mould and shape the clay into a range of funky pieces to take home! Kids will also learn how to apply glazing to a selection of pieces to prepare them for firing.
What this course will cover:
- Simple forms, including cylinders and bowls
- Their own focus and specialised pieces
- Decorating and applying your own glaze
