Porcelarts is an abbreviation of 'porcelain' and 'art', created by Nihon Vogue-Sha Co. Ltd., a Japanese handicraft company.
Although it has been popular in Japan for a few years among socialites, it is a completely new hobby in other countries including Australia! And once you try, you will be surprised at how amazing porcelain work you can make by hand. This hobby is ideal for ladies gatherings and bridal parties getting together for afternoon tea.
In this class, you will learn how to create your own Christmas plate. First, you will pick your favourite design from decalcomania transfer paper then paste them on white porcelain with water. Your piece will then need to be fired in an electric kiln to permanently place the design. This makes the plate safe as dinnerware and dishwasher-friendly.
Imagine when you invite some friends to your place on Christmas day, you can use your own handmade Christmas plate to serve food or desserts for them. How gorgeous!

With years of learning and practice in porcelain painting, she specializes in European Meissen style. Although porcelain painting takes years to build the foundation, Porcelarts is completely different - it can be mastered within a week without any basics and you would be surprised at how amazing porcelain work you make by hand.
