This is an amazing class. Lots of fun and you come away with a beautiful lamp. I’m artistically challenged but the two young women running the class were supportive and patient and I came away feeling very good about the whole experience.
My 8 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the Turkish mosaic lamp class with our teacher Umud.Umud was fun, kind, experienced and very patient with us. We were very happy with the experience, and highly recommend this class to others!
The class was very easy to follow and had some lovely personal touches with Turkish Coffee, Turkish delights and Apple Tea which were all amazing tasting. Gift card was very simple to use. I love this class very much
Super fun way to make a personalised mosaic lamp and a great activity to do with others or by yourself! You're guided on how to create the design you'd like and not limited at all to what you'd like to create.
We really enjoyed our workshop. The teacher was excellent. He showed us examples and explained how to work out patterns. He was available to help when we needed it and was very encouraging. We decided to grout the lamps at home and the teacher gave us the grout, explained what to do and gave us links to the YouTube videos for reference. He checked that the lamps worked before packaging them. I tried the Turkish apple tea, which was delicious, as was the Turkish Delight.
So much fun and the results are super, no matter what you think of your artistic abilities. Let your creative urges loose!! It's a welcoming and fun environment!
We had a really awesome time. We were 5 of us and the session was totally good. Neatly arranged and table was all set and ready for us. Loved the experience. Hannah was very welcoming and was helping us out with everything. Enjoyed the apple tea as well. We were so amazed with the lovely creations we ended up doing. Our lamps look so lovely. It was an experience for my 40th birthday and will totally remember it Highly recommend this experience with friends.
We had a beautiful morning at Istanbul Bazaar at Westfield Chermside. Our teacher was brilliant and a lovely lady, thoroughly enjoyed every minute, especially the Turkish coffee! We made a swan lamp - the instructions were really clear and our teacher was hands on in helping us complete our lamps. Excellent morning, would recommend this class and no doubt will be returning in the future :)
Must-do class! The class was so relaxing and a great creative outlet. We were able to choose our own colours and designs, guided thoughtfully by the teacher. A perfect way to spend an afternoon :)
This class was lovely. I had a friends 10 year old daughter with me and we both had a great time. The teacher was knowledgeable and helpful and I learnt bout mosaic patterns that I will be using again.
I went there myself for a public class. It was fun and the there are a lot of mosaic to choose from. Also they provided coffee and tea. It's a nice experience.
This is the perfect date night activity!! Phyllis was absolutely incredible, she was very patient, showed us exactly what we needed to do and helped us fix up the little mistakes to make our lamps absolutely perfect. We loved the colours that were available and Phyllis went to an extra length to make up a bead mixture that matched our lamps perfectly. Phyllis also provided delicious Turkish coffee and apple tea. I would absolutely recommend this class and Phyllis to anyone looking for a fun date night activity.
Thanks for our wonderful mosaic lamp making class Phyllis (apologies if I spelt your name incorrectly) for my husband's birthday. The workshop started on time and all materials were included. Phyllis took the time to help us get started with clear to understand instructions. We loved the location at the shop and could get inspiration from being surrounded by many mosaic lamps around us. The hospitality with the Turkish coffee, Turkish delight and apple tea was delightful! Thank you Phyllis!
I fully enjoyed the class. Very relaxing and nice atmosphere. The teacher took me to Turkish culture through music, tasty apple tea and interesting stories.Totally recommend it.
Enjoyed this class, teacher was friendly, helpful and patient, instructions were easy and many colours available, the location was convenient and not noisy, overall a great experience and good value.
The teacher was very helpful and the venue was great. We made Turkish mosaic lamp which looked amazing however some of the colours we had chosen, there was none left of so we had to use different colours
This was a belated mothers day gift for my mum and we had an amazing time! we got to look at lots of lamp designs and choose elements of our favourites and then play around with the mosaic glass pieces to make a pattern we liked. Our teacher was lovely and gave us lots of direction, definitely an expert on making these! she helped us use the right techniques to get a beautiful lamp without mistakes or any sloppy bits you'd expect from a beginner trying it. The class is definitely worth giving a go, I'll be coming back for sure!
My sisters and I did the mosaic lamp workshop with Andy and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Andy has a great personality and he guided us through the whole process with his humour and he made us apple tea. I’d definitely recommend this workshop.
The teacher was very helpful and sat with us most of the time to answer any questions. I made a lamp which turned out great and definitely worth the price
Andy is an excellent teacher and provides great advice to each participant. Class was very therapeutic and enjoyable. It was nice to be creative and have something useful at the end.Loved spending time with my sisters in this way!
My sister and I did the class for our birthday. The teacher was lovely and very helpful. We made a beautiful Turkish lamp and everything was provided. We could choose our payterns and colours. We do have to go back to pick it up in 5 days after it is grouted which I didn't know about. It was a great morning activity and was great value.
Took my mum out to make some lamps together and it was a lovely smooth session! We booked on a weekday so it was only the two of us but I preferred the quietness.Keep in mind after you make it, they provide the grout for you but you can decide to take it home and grout the lamp or let them do it for you (at an extra cost and waiting period). We decided to do it at home and it was pretty simple to do!Overall had a lovely time!Thank you to the instructor!
I had a wonderful time. The class was beginner friendly and everything I needed was supplied for me. The teacher was lovely, patient and encouraging. I loved my lamp and can't wait to see it lit up in my home.
A birthday gift for my daughter. Our teacher was excellent, knowledgeable and instructive, kind and caring. Lovely venue, great materials. Real value for money. Loved being surrounded by Turkish artefacts, the Turkish coffee and apple tea.
My friend and I both had gift vouchers we used for the class. Throughly enjoyed the whole experience. Our teacher Phyllis was very experienced and walked us through everything step by step. The coffee and Turkish delight was an unexpected treat and she had a fun joke with us too. Would definitely recommend!!
