At Uncanny, we treat cocktails less like recipes and more like small, drinkable experiences. Shaking, stirring, tasting, adjusting. It’s hands-on, a little quirky, and always a good time — built on the idea that anyone can make a great drink with the right guidance and a splash of curiosity.
Uncanny, the small bar with a big vibe, opened in October 2021 by the Bouskila family. As a family-run venue, we pour our heart and soul into every detail, creating a space that feels welcoming, inclusive, and full of life. The décor is eclectic, warm, and cosy — a home away from home — where vinyl spins in the background and the room hums with conversation. The focus is always on community, good people, good food, and great drinks.
Our menu reflects our Mediterranean, European, and Australian roots, designed to be shared and enjoyed together. Behind the bar, cocktails are thoughtfully curated and inspired by decades in the industry, balancing quality ingredients with a sense of play.
That same philosophy carries into our classes, led by Sara. With global bar experience and a strong teaching background, she guides guests through the fundamentals while sharing the small details that elevate a drink from good to memorable.
Whether you’re visiting for a class or a night out, the goal is the same: to create an experience that feels genuine, connected, and worth coming back for. And if you happen to make a cocktail you’re proud of along the way, even better.
