The venue is SO CUTE! Although it’s in a warehousey type building it feels like you’re in a little conservatory.
Not only do they provide snacks and drinks (unlike most CB experiences), they don’t cheap out either- it’s great quality.
As chilled music played, the host took us through each step slowly and clearly, then checked everyone’s work at each stage to make sure we had done it correctly before moving on. The plants were lovely and healthy, and the options to decorate at the end were plentiful
You can tell when a host is after a money grab vs a host that’s genuinely wanting to give participants a wholesome and quality time- this is most definitely the latter.
Myself and my friend loved it so much we’re going to book in again for the closed terrarium session! We can’t wait!
Can’t recommend highly enough- this has been my absolute favourite and most fun CB experience yet.
Ps If you see my photo I did bring some of my own stuff to decorate (which you’re allowed to do!) so the figurines/crystals won’t be there- although for an extra fee you can buy crystals there to pop in too :))

Tipsy Terrarium Workshop: Make and Sip review by Deborah Govorcin - Melbourne

Positives:
Pets are pre-drawn on the canvas for you. I was very impressed with the quality of the outline the host had drawn for me.
Good quality paints
Neat and clean venue
Not so positives:
Cramped, not much room between each person. I found it difficult to find somewhere for my glass, if I’d have brought snacks they wouldn’t have fitted.
Although the host initially structured the session into three separate stages, each stage had no time limit. Out of the three of us, only one of us got to finish our painting. Myself and my friend were still in the first stage when the class ended. The stranger next to me was also painting like mad at the end just so she could finish, kind of ruining it as a result. We would have liked a time period given for each stage so we could learn how to structure the time to paint a portrait appropriately.
We came into the class hoping to learn some basic painting techniques but it’s up to the participant to mix your own colours and figure out how to do it, as there was minimal instruction or guidance. The host was helpful if you needed to ask how to get a certain colour- if you’re feeling lost just ask lots of questions!
Summary:
If you’re confident in painting and don’t need much guidance I think it will be an enjoyable experience, and you will be happy with the results of your work. If you are a painting newbie, perfectionist, easily lose track of time and/or are looking for learning some painting techniques- this may not be the right one for you!

Something unique to try. Anyone of any age can do this, so even if you don’t feel a creative bone in your body- you will still have fun and make a great looking bear :)
