This wheel throwing course in Sydney is for intermediate and advanced students. As such, it is required that you have completed a wheel throwing course previously (either at Klaypots Studio or another studio) and can, without assistance, centre 1 kilogram of wheel throwing clay.

Under the guidance of Minji Song of MAP Pottery, you will learn intermediate and advanced wheel throwing techniques and hone your skills in creating intricate pottery pieces on the wheel. From mastering complex forms like teapots, lidded vessels, larger vessels, plates and ramen bowls, this course will help you elevate your craft and create stunning pieces to take home.

I am Karina and I am a ceramic artist, business owner and teacher based in Crows Nest on the upper north shore in Sydney. My passion for ceramics started out as a hobby in 2016 and over the last two years has really grown into a small business with a focus on handmade small batch ceramics and tailor-made events for clay lovers and learners.

I have a passion for teaching and making. I'm a very social person and I love meeting new people, teaching others how to create ceramics and explore clay, hosting events and collaborating with other businesses in fun and creative ways.

I hope that I can teach you to make something beautiful.
