Gouache Lobster Painting Workshop

An introduction to using Gouache

2 hours Class size 1 to 12 guests       $60 (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Move over watercolour, gouache is visiting.
Gouache is watercolour with boots on! Most people are very familiar with watercolour and use it regularly as a starting point when they begin their art journey. I often hear, "I'm just going to start with a little watercolour." That's a hard place to start. Gouache is forgiving, vibrant, and delicious to work with.
This workshop is an introduction to gouache, understanding what it's about and how and where it is used. Step by step, we will look at the different techniques of gouache and apply them to a funky image of a lobster. We will talk about colour, tone, and how to resolve the image, so you walk away with a groovy image to pop in a frame and hang on your wall.
What you'll get

I’m Tianni Fazio, an artist and educator with over 30 years of experience teaching creative and fine arts.
As a freelance (house and garden portraits) artist and mum, I’ve continued to be creative through one on one lessons, workshops for children and adults. For the past five years, I’ve led a regular art group in Yeronga that brings people together to explore fine art and creativity in a supportive, fun social inspiring environment. I would really like to run some sessions a little outside the square. Getting people to play, think about their mark making and approaching their creative endeavors with a bit more oomph!
I love teaching and guiding others to that “Look what I did!” moment. There’s something special about watching people get colour on their hands, being brave, and discover a skill that stays with them for life.
I hope to see you join us!
