Step into a world of colour, creativity, and gentle magic.
In this hands-on craft workshop for kids parties, children will design and create their own enchanted luminous lantern using a beautiful mix of printed tissue papers, ribbons, lace, beads and of course fairy lights. Like mixing spell ingredients, they’ll layer and decorate by letting their imagination lead the way.
How it works:
  • Step-by-Step Guidance: I’ll show the party guests how to work with all the tools, materials, and embellishments from start to finish, so they can feel confident and creative.
  • Make It Yours: They'll pick their lantern, colours, ribbons and beads. Go wild with colours to truly personalise their lantern. No rules—just fun!
  • Relaxed, Friendly Vibe: This is a light-filled, quirky, welcoming space perfect for a little group celebration like a birthday.
To finish, each lantern is softly lit with fairy lights, bringing their creation to life with a luminous glow. The studio fills with colour, excitement and the joyful energy that only happens when children are fully immersed in making.
A relaxed, feel-good birthday party that celebrates creativity, individuality, and the magic of handmade art. Suitable for ages 5 and up.

What to wear?
Comfortable clothes and shoes are best. Kids activities can sometimes be a bit messy.  Party outfits are welcome, just make sure they can take a bit of creativity!
Minimum & Maximum Numbers of party guests?
Minimum numbers for a party to run are 4 guests. We have comfortable seating for a maximum of 12 guests.
Self Catering?
Garden of Wire is happy for you to self cater. There is a small kitchenette with a kettle, microwave, sink and small fridge. However it is not suitable for preparation of food.

Parental supervision requirements?
To make sure all the kids are safe and the party runs smoothly, we ask that at least one parent or guardian stays onsite for the duration of the session. This is especially helpful if you’re providing food or drinks. For our younger guests (ages 5–8), having a parent or nominated adult nearby to assist with bathroom breaks is important as I need to keep an eye on the rest of the group. I’ll lead all the creative fun and ensure everyone is engaged, your presence just helps everything flow safely and smoothly. I have a valid Working With Children Check and Police Check.
Can siblings join in?
Yes they can but they will need to be counted in the overall guest numbers.
Booking & Cancellation policy?
To secure your party date, a minimum booking of 4 guests as deposit is required. If you need to cancel up to 3 days before the party, no fee applies and a full refund is applied. For cancellations within 3 days of the party, we’re unfortunately unable to provide a refund as we’ve already purchased, prepared materials and planned the session. Full payment due on or before the day of the party. We appreciate your understanding — this ensures every party runs smoothly and every child has a fun, fully-prepared experience.
Accessibility?
Garden of Wire Creative Workshop is located in one of Oberon's old buildings and has some accessibility limitations. The entry is via two low wide steps. The toilet is located outside via two steps, a narrow side pathway and is a "typical" Australian brick outhouse with limited space. We understand this is not ideal but will assist with steadying hands if required.

We’re located at the eastern end of Oberon Street. If arriving from Sydney we are at the start of the main retail area of the street. If arriving from Bathurst, we are at the very end of the main retail area.

I started this creative journey as I wanted a calmer way of working — one that gave me space to create, to redefine how I worked, who I worked for and to build something that truly felt worth my time and energy.
My first step was a market stall selling my wire art pieces, inspired by the workshops I had attended myself. As people began asking if I ran workshops and I continued to enjoy attending craft sessions, meeting like-minded people, creating, learning, and connecting, Garden of Wire Creative Workshops was born.
Along the way, I discovered the simple magic of connection: how sitting together with wire, natural elements, beads and quirky craft materials can spark conversation, laughter and a sense of belonging. That’s the heart of my workshops.
I offer whimsical wire art and creative craft classes that are gentle, welcoming, and fun. They’re not about competition or perfection — just about enjoying the process, taking a little time for yourself, and connecting with others in a relaxed, supportive, inclusive space.
No experience is needed — just an open mind and a positive attitude. My hope is that you leave not only with something handmade and uniquely yours, but also with a sense of calm, connection and the reminder that creativity is for everyone.
Garden of Wire Creative Workshops can host Birthdays, Hens nights, Date Nights, Christmas parties, Team Building and other private events.
