  • wet on dry
  • layering colour
  • creating soft washes

Paint Your Mini Artworks

Bring your designs to life with watercolour! Work at your own pace as you paint your botanical “postage stamps,” focusing on soft colour, simple forms and expressive marks.

Add details and finishing touches

Add Details and Finishing Touches

Once dry, you can enhance your pieces with fine details using pen or brush. This step helps your artworks feel complete and adds a lovely illustrative style.

Slow down and enjoy a cosy, creative watercolour session where you’ll create your own collection of miniature “stamp-style” artworks.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll explore simple watercolour techniques while painting a series of small botanical and abstract designs. Instead of focusing on one large piece, you’ll create multiple mini artworks, perfect for building confidence, experimenting with colour, and enjoying the process.
You’ll be guided step-by-step through techniques such as:
  • Creating soft colour washes and blends
  • Layering to build depth and texture
  • Simplifying leaves, florals, and natural shapes
  • Adding fine details with pen and linework
This workshop is relaxed, supportive, and designed to feel calm and enjoyable—no pressure, just creativity.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a completed sheet of mini artworks to take home, each one unique and expressive.
Perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a mindful creative reset.

Hi, I’m Brittany, the artist, teacher and creative behind Cosy Art Club. I’ve always been drawn to making and creating, and after studying visual art and community arts at Uni, I spent the last five years teaching Prep to Year 12 across Brisbane.
My love for mindful watercolour and slow drawing has grown into a gentle creative practice that I now love sharing with others. I’m passionate about creating warm, cosy workshop experiences where anyone, beginners included, can slow down, explore colour, and reconnect with their creativity.
Alongside painting, I sew sustainably, upcycle furniture, and have run community art workshops both in Brisbane and rural Queensland. I hope to inspire you to explore your creative rhythm and make art that feels grounding and joyful.
