Looking for a creative, inspiring yet calming experience in Melbourne? Look no further than our beginners friendly wheel throwing class in Pascoe Vale South!
Led by friendly experienced ceramicists, this immersive session teaches traditional wheel throwing techniques in a relaxed, completely pressure-free and fun focused session. Learn to centre, shape, and transform clay on the wheel into beautiful pieces made by you to take home or gift to loved ones.
Our small class sizes ensure personalised attention, allowing you to freely explore the nature of clay while being gently guided by our talented ceramicists.
You will have your own pottery wheel and can make up to two pieces (with as many attempts as you like) with any extras charged at $10 each. We will glaze and kiln fire your pieces ready to be picked up in approximately three weeks (unless you'd like to add on a discounted glazing workshop to paint and decorate your pieces yourself) or posted to you with a small fee. Process times may vary depending on kiln firings, weather and busy periods.
Please note that clay is prone to shrinking by 10% in the kiln, and that occasionally pots do explode/crack in the kiln. Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for pots that have exploded or cracked in the kiln firing process as this is beyond our control.
If you are requesting a private class please note these incur a $30 per person fee.
We offer events such as birthday parties and team building workshops for up to 30 students; we can also come to your own venue. Please get in touch :)
Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.
