3 hours Class size 1 to 30 guests

$69 - $90 ($90 per guest when you book for 1 guest, $75/guest for 2+ guests, $69/guest for 9+ guests. $50 per class surcharge applies for private classes)

Merryl’s Mosaics is open to the public to come and make a one-off mosaic. No experience is necessary. Just book in, and come and have a fun time making a mosaic!
Mosaicing is creative, meditative, satisfying and enables unique expression. In this hands-on mosaic session, you will be taken through all the steps of making a mosaic.
For a one-off session, we have over 100 templates that have been created especially to enable completion in the session, for example a picture frame, a dragonfly, lizard or seahorse.
We also have larger or more detailed pieces that take 2 or more sessions, for example a mandala, a house number, or a mosaic of your Sign of the Zodiac. And we also offer even larger designs which can take 4 or more sessions. Some examples of these include a peacock, a dreamcatcher, parrot, or bird bath.
For those of you making larger designs and wishing to attend more than one session, pick your first day and we will schedule your additional date/s at the session. Or you can attend on an hourly basis of $25 per hour to complete. We are open 7 days a week.
Choose your template, then select your glass and colour scheme. Then learn how to cut your tiles, create your design, and stick onto the board. Finally, grout your piece and voila - you have made your first mosaic.
All tools and materials supplied. Additional specialty glass can be used if desired and purchased at the studio. However, this is not necessary as you will get a fantastic range of glass for your piece.
Making a mosaic is a calming and mindful experience. This, together with being creative, social and relaxing, makes it a unique experience where you can enjoy the simple pleasure of making your mosaic.
You can attend your casual class alongside your friends, children or other family members. Group books and Private Bookings are welcomed.
Come along and experience the magic of mosaic! You will love it!

  • 5/5 from Kathy, attended Sep 2026: The staff are so friendly and are there to help bring out your creative juices and support you through the whole process of creating a beautiful piece of art. This is a great Gift Card for Christmas for kids and a family day out or for friends looking to have some fun together. Great idea for kris kringle
  • 5/5 from Joel Fowler, attended Sep 2026: We booked in for a casual class and had the best time making a small piece each. Merryl and Gigi were very accommodating and such skilled artists. The studio is lovely and on a quiet day the atmosphere is so peaceful. I cannot recommend this highly enough! Thank you Merryl and Gigi
  • 5/5 from Michelle Speirs, attended Sep 2026: My teacher was so helpful, I think it is spelt Keeley and she taught us how to do various cuts and walked around helping and was available for questions. Our class ran over time, as we were a bit slow, but she was really helpful and calm. I loved making my turtle and I highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Luke Wong, attended Aug 2026: The class with GiGi was absolutely amazing! She’s so patient and willing to spend extra time helping us improve our work and make it as perfect as possible. Really appreciate all her help️ Highly recommend the class!
  • 5/5 from Frankie Fyffe, attended Aug 2026: Great class. Lots of designs to pick from. Super easy to pick how to cut the glass. There was chill music in the background. Meryln let us stay a 40 mins longer at the end of the session to complete and grout our pieces. Otherwise we would have to pay more for pick up sessions to complete our artworks. My advice, you have about 2.5hrs to complete your work, as you need to grout it which takes an additionally 20 mins - don't pick a hard design, or spend ages picking your colours. Pick an easy design if you are going to go slow and chat with your friends Only probelm was they were lacking in the purple section. There was only a two shades of purple. They were both very light, one was pinkish and purple, and one was lilac. No other purples. Nothing darker. Every other colour had more than two options. I would come back again.
  • 5/5 from Susan Smith, attended Aug 2026: We enjoyed our class and Merryl is very talented

  • 5/5 from Andrea Gaylard, attended Jul 2026: Great activity to do while chatting with a friend. Wonderful guidance provided by staff. Overall fantastic few hours.
  • 5/5 from Ifra Hussain, attended Jul 2026: It was a great experience. I tried mosaic for the first time. Merryl explained the techniques for cutting glass very well and it was easy to follow. I was also helped in between to be able to complete my project within specified time. Highly recommend!
  • 5/5 from Maha Anwer, attended Jun 2026: I had an amazing time. We were provided with different coloured glass which we were supposed to cut and glue to create our mosaic painting. I came here with my sisters and it was definitely worth the time. 3 hours is sufficient even if you’re a first timer but 3.5-4 hours is best for a bit more detailed work. Meryl was a great and helpful teacher. When she saw me falling a bit behind because I found cutting the glass difficult, she helped me out. Very therapeutic and worthwhile!
  • 5/5 from Kelly Brand, attended Jun 2026: We had such a fantastic experience with Merryl and Gigi from ClassBento for our team mosaic workshop. From the very beginning, they were incredibly accommodating and responsive, making the entire planning process seamless and stress-free. Their communication was excellent, and they ensured everything was tailored to our group. On the day, they created such an engaging atmosphere, guiding us through the process with patience and enthusiasm. It was a wonderful team-building activity, and everyone felt involved and proud to contribute. We couldn’t be happier with the end result—a beautiful group mosaic that we’ll treasure. I highly recommend Merryl and Gigi for anyone looking for a creative, well-organised, and enjoyable group experience!
  • 5/5 from Bridget Armstrong, attended Jun 2026: We really enjoyed our mosaic class. It was a small class so we got a lot of one on one time. I was shown how to grind to make rounded shapes. This is the second class I have done here and I would recommend.
  • 5/5 from Libby Smith, attended Jun 2026: We loved the class, the lovely Stella got us started and off we went! It was a gift for my friends birthday. What a great way to make memories. Would definitely do it again!
  • 4/5 from Karen Milne, attended Jun 2026: We loved picking out our design from numerous options and letting our creativity flow. The process was easy and lots of fun, probably needed a bit more time as this was our first mosaic class, but will come back and do it again.
  • 5/5 from Angelene Shannon, attended May 2026: For only $90 I was able to learn, design, create and complete my very first mosaic at this exceptionally well run and enjoyable three hour class. The time went by so quickly. I was originally considering going to Bunnings to buy the materials and doing the project at home - am now so glad I came here instead. There were plenty of really clear instructions and the tutors were on hand to help with anything needed. I made a small plaque to commemorate a close friend who passed way and will leave it at her graveside. It’s perfect!

  • 4/5 from Kayla Struebin, attended May 2026: I had a great time making my first mosaic piece.
