2 hours

Class size 1 to 5 (public classes), 6 to 10
  $120

In this beautiful hands-on workshop, you’ll create a stunning candle holder using a cocktail glass filled with preserved and dried flowers, captured in crystal-clear gel wax. You’ll also craft four custom soy wax tealight candles to fit inside your holder, choosing up to two scents and custom colours to match your aesthetic.
This workshop is more than just crafting—it’s a chance to turn your personal memories into timeless home decor. You are welcome to bring your own dried flowers from special occasions (like weddings or graduations), and we’ll help you preserve them beautifully in gel wax.
What you’ll do:
  • Select dried and preserved flowers for your design
  • Arrange them in a cocktail-glass style container
  • Pour transparent gel wax to create a permanent floral display
  • Make four scented and coloured tealight candles that perfectly fit the holder
  • Learn candle care and styling tips
Perfect for:
  • Beginners
  • Special gifts or memory keepsakes
  • Flower lovers and home decor enthusiasts
Important information: For safety reasons, participants must be aged 16 or over, as the wax used in this class is handled at high temperatures.

  • 5/5 from Amir Howell, attended Jan 2026: A very lovely couple of hours spent colouring and pouring tealight candles as well as arranging a floral display for a gel wax pour. Yoshie was a wonderful teacher and provided many materials to personalise our candles. I would absolutely recommend.

Hi, I’m Yoshie, and I’m passionate about the art of candle making! My journey began in Korea, where I obtained formal qualifications in candle design. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in crafting a variety of candles, from elegant, minimalist designs to playful dessert-inspired creations that look good enough to eat.
While I specialize in dessert candles, my workshops are designed to explore a wide range of styles and techniques, making them perfect for anyone who wants to experience the joy of creating their own unique candles. Teaching is one of my greatest joys because it allows me to share my love for candle making and inspire others to express their creativity.
In my workshops, you’ll not only learn the technical aspects of candle making but also discover how small details can elevate your creations. I aim to provide a welcoming and encouraging environment where everyone—from beginners to seasoned crafters—feels confident in their ability to create something truly special.
With years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students, helping them craft candles that reflect their personal style. Whether it’s your first time or you’re looking to refine your skills, my workshops are about more than just making candles—they’re about enjoying a meaningful, creative experience.
Join me to explore the world of candle making and create something beautiful, whether it’s a stunning centerpiece, a thoughtful gift, or a delightful dessert-inspired candle. Let’s craft memories together!
