  • 5/5 from Marianne Zit, attended Jan 2024: Just loved this workshop! Jem is a great teacher who is so knowledgeable about floristry techniques and flowers. She gives great feedback and is very encouraging. I learned so many skills and tips for creating beautiful arrangements. The flowers we used were stunning and of the highest quality. Loved being able to create so many different styles in one day. Can’t wait to attend another class!
  • 5/5 from Michelle Power, attended Jan 2024: Jem was a gem! I was so impressed with her Floristry in a Day workshop. I came away with the exact skills I need to turn my garden flowers into professional looking arrangements. Jem taught us some amazing techniques that I will never forget. If you have ever become frustrated when the flowers you put in a vase just don't sit right, well you won't ever have that problem again after doing this class. It had just the right amount of structure, teaching/demonstrating and hands on learning. I brought home 3 very impressive looking arrangements that even my 18YO son commented on. It's given me inspiration to want to learn more and I will certainly be back to do another one of her classes. Whilst $300 might seem a lot to pay, I thought it was certainly worth it.
  • 5/5 from Chemaine Uranie, attended Jun 2023: Jem was really knowledgeable and great personality, made the workshop a lot of fun. Will definitely book another class to build on my skills.
  • 5/5 from Joanna Buttie, attended Jun 2023: Our teacher Jem, was an absolute gem! She explained things well and was very helpful. She is very passionate and dedicated in what she does. She will help you to get the best results for your arrangements. Played great music too! The venue was great. Everyone was able to watch Jem do her demonstrations easily from their seats. All the materials that were provided were beautiful, especially the flowers that Jem had specially chosen for our group. The experience was definitely great value for money, with the vases, the paper, ribbon and those amazing flowers that you get to take home with you. We made a beautiful floral design in a vase, a native floral foam design in a vase and a beautiful stemmed bouquet. I loved everything about the day! I will definitely be going back to do some more classes with Jem. Thank you so much for the wonderful day. Loved, loved, loved!

Our flower workshops are designed for those with a love of all things "Bloomin' Marvellous" with an emphasis on basic elements of design and covering a range of techniques for an appreciation of Mother nature's beautiful creations and most of all having fun with flowers.
With an illustrious career spanning over 30 years, Bloomin Marvellous Flower Schools' founder Jemina has been lucky enough to collaborate with some of the best in the business and worked on many of Melbourne’s most prestigious events including the Melbourne Grand Prix Spring Racing Carnival and the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show.
Beginning her apprenticeship training at the renowned Myer Florist in the Melbourne city store to owning her own florist shop in the Mornington Peninsula at the age of 20.
Her passion for teaching was ignited when she joined the team as head teacher at Victoria Whitelaw School of Flowers. This is where the story has a new beginning, “Not everyone gets to have a career they love, I’m very lucky”. Being able to give back all that she has learnt over the years to up and coming students was very gratifying and left Jemina wanting to offer more. Jemina not only has her Certificate lll in Floristry but also attended night school to gain her Certificate lV in Training & Assessment – making her an accredited teacher.
That is when she returned to where it all began having been a floristry student at Box Hill Institute (many years before) and coming full circle by returning as a part of the teaching faculty.
December 2019 Bloomin’ Marvellous Flower School was launched Based in the leafy Melbourne suburb of Malvern, Bloomin’ Marvellous Flower School inspires people from all walks of life to celebrate the beauty of nature, have fun with flowers and take a moment to (quite literally) stop and smell the roses.
For Jemina, the biggest reward is seeing the smiles that transform her students’ faces after they’ve assembled their first bouquet – so pop into her light-filled studio and find some joy as you learn to arrange your own.
