Ever thought about arranging your own flowers at home? Whether it's for your dining table, your next dinner party, or just because beautiful things make life better, learning to arrange flowers is one of those skills that keeps on giving.
At Flowers for Jane in Langwarrin, Cassy's monthly floristry classes are the perfect way to slow down, get creative, and walk away with something gorgeous you made yourself.
Every beginner class teaches the fundamentals of floristry, so it's the perfect starting point if you're brand new — and because each month features a different arrangement, it's just as perfect for those who want to keep coming back and building on their skills.
And here's a thought—grab a couple of girlfriends, book into a Saturday morning class, and make a full day of it. Arrange stunning blooms with Cassy, then head down to the Mornington Peninsula wineries for a long lunch. Honestly? That's a perfect Saturday.
What to expect:
Each month focuses on a different beginner's technique—think spiralling stems, bouquet wrapping, beautiful pot arrangements, and the kind of styling tricks that make your home look like a florist lives there. Along the way, you'll always be building on the fundamentals—the real techniques every florist relies on.
  • Fresh seasonal flowers and all materials provided (unless otherwise stated below)
  • Small, intimate class sizes (max 10)
  • Work at your own pace in a relaxed, welcoming space
  • Leave with your own stunning creation
Cassy brings 27 years of real floristry experience to every session so you're not just learning from a book; you're learning the way she's trained florists. That means real techniques, real tips, and the kind of insider knowledge you simply won't find in a YouTube tutorial.
This class is perfect for:
  • Anyone who loves having fresh flowers at home and wants to arrange them beautifully
  • Those planning a special event and want a personal, handcrafted touch
  • Anyone looking for a fun, creative morning out with friends
  • Complete beginners wanting to learn the fundamentals from scratch
  • People curious about floristry who want to dip their toe in before committing to more
And if somewhere along the way you fall in love with it and start dreaming of a floristry career? You'll already be ahead of the game. Cassy's classes are built on the same foundations she used to train industry apprentices, so the skills you pick up are the real deal.
Please note: Flowers for Jane is located on a hobby farm so there are animals (and Roxy our Border Collie) on the property. Bathroom is NOT wheelchair accessible and is located in the pool house, 100 m from the studio.

Hi, I'm Cassy, Creative Director at Flowers for Jane and florist since 1997.
My love for flowers began before I could even walk — nestled nearby while Mum and Grandma worked the garden beds, watching their hands move through soil and stems. When I was old enough, I joined them, and those garden days became our family ritual.
Some families bond over cooking. In mine, love was found in the garden.
With nearly 30 years of floristry experience, I bring a depth of knowledge, creativity and heart to every class I teach. My studio in Langwarrin is a place where you can slow down, get your hands into something beautiful, and leave with both a gorgeous creation and a little more confidence than when you arrived.
Creating genuine connection is at the heart of everything I do — it's even why I founded The Community Posy Project, giving back to my community through flowers.
When you book a class with me, you're not just learning floristry. You're becoming part of something blooming.
"Great value for money. I learnt so much in such a fun, relaxing environment. Felt I had known the group for years. I can’t wait for the next group." – Jan Kemp, Monthly Floristry Class: Bloom and Style
