What you'll do
Unfold your creativity in this three-hour collage workshop at Zetta, our light-filled Fitzroy store brimming with inspiration. Using an assortment of vintage prints, handmade papers, pressed flowers, and our favourite art supplies, you’ll explore the playful and expressive world of collage - piecing together works of art that are uniquely yours.We’ll begin with a wander through collage’s rich history, drawing inspiration from the pioneering artists who elevated this deceptively simple practice into a timeless art form. From there, you’ll be guided through techniques for layering, arranging, and composing, while still leaving plenty of space for your own imagination to take the lead. The joy of collage lies in its openness there's no experience is necessary, and the process is as mindful as it is creative. Small breaks will be woven in along the way to recharge with snacks (or anything else you’d like to bring along).By the end of the workshop, you’ll carry home:
- A collection of your own collages, created with Zetta’s vintage and handmade materials
- A workbook of ideas, prompts, and techniques to inspire your future projects

No experience is needed; beginners are absolutely welcome.
What to bring
Any collected or found objects or materials you may want to include. This could be fabrics, currency from travels, photographs, ticket stubs, old journals, pieces of packaging you love…anything that is meaningful, beautiful and interesting to you. We will have plenty of materials to use so if there isn’t anything, then please just bring yourself.
