What you'll do
Welcome to a Spring inspired needle felting experience. During this face to face workshop, you will learn the basic skills required for needle felting and guided step by step to complete your own Spring Wattle art piece that will be ready to hang on a wall or place on a shelf. In a calm and friendly atmosphere with up to 10 creative folk, we will create a simplified wattle stem with leaves and flowers whilst enjoying a cuppa and good conversation. Date: October Saturday 18thTime: 10am-1pmVenue: Mums of the Hills Hub6 Hayes Place, Belgrave 3160.Date: November Saturday 29thTime: 10am-12.45Venue: Belgrave Library Reynolds Lane BelgraveLight refreshments will be offered. Please note: Needles provided are new, but like using any sharp metal object you need to consider when your last tenus booster was. Leather finger protectors, antiseptic spray and bandaids will be provided if required.

As a Primary School teacher, I love watching my students learn and grow. It is important to me that I create a friendly, calm and welcoming environment so that all learners can achieve and enjoy the process of creating, no matter where they are on their learning journey, in a nurturing environment.Working with wool, such wet and needle felting, ties us to history and the age old craft of creating with natural fibres. Whether it is a piece of art work, functional object or a piece to wear, working with wool is a beautiful medium that provides a calming and mindful process that allows our mind to wander while we stay focused on the creative experience.
