Lena was endlessly knowledgeable, encouraging and most of all patient, even when my design choices turned out to be wildly beyond my capabilities! From glass cutting to copper foiling, through soldering and polishing, she helped my wife and I complete our work and wind up with beautiful handmade pieces we’ll use for years to come.

She was very hands on and always ready to answer any question, check what you had made or give advice for improvement. We started with just a clear piece of glass to try using the different tools and get a feel for it all before starting on our own piece. There was many different textures and colours for us to pick for our piece. When my original class had to be changed she was very accomodating in helping me to still make a tealight holder instead of a picture frame. I would love to do another workshop with Lena in the future :)

Hi, I'm Lena. I'm a glass enthusiast and a budding artist.
My glass journey started with a simple engraving project. I explored glass blowing and lampwork at a casual capacity. My training for leadlighting and copper foiling at Melbourne Polytechnic solidified my passion for cold working glass art.I've always been drawn to the beauty and versatility of glass, and how it can be transformed by light, heat, and creativity. I hope to share my passion and vision with others through my glass art and teaching.Ins: 3minheatart
