This workshop is aimed to be a fun creative experience and you require no prior jewellery making or metalworking experience to produce a beautiful piece of jewellery you will treasure for years to come.
Over two and a half hours you will create your own Sterling Silver Ring, Set of Earrings, or Pendant in a design of your own style. You will be guided through the process at your own pace, from designing your custom piece, marking out your design, cutting, forging, soldering, sanding, texturing and then finally finishing your new treasure.
Sarah Munnings knows that once you start working with semi-precious metals you'll be hooked! So in order to ensure you are able to create further projects at home on the completion of your class, there is a strong focus on using tools that are readily available and you are able to set up at home.

  • 5/5 from Stella Fulton, attended Aug 2026: I received a gift voucher for this workshop and it was absolutely fantastic! I went with my sister and we had a lovely time with artist Sarah learning how to work with silver, copper, and brass. She did an excellent job at explaining how to use all the different tools - including how to solder!! I had minimal experience walking in but Sarah made us feel comfortable and confident to have a go at anything! I particularly liked how she had some display pieces that she mentioned were all achievable in the workshop timeframe so that gave me a good idea of what to aim for and some inspiration! Thank you Sarah for such a wonderful weekend activity

Sarah has plenty of examples on show to get inspiration from & is so helpful with making our new creative visions come to life. There were 5 in my class & Sarah spent plenty of time with each of us throughout the workshop. I made a ring and a pendant & my friend made a ring & a beautiful flower. Such special pieces that we feel very proud of. Kyneton is beautiful & well worth the travel to give this workshop a try. The venue holds other classes & also has a gift shop filled with handmade goods. Does it get much better than to get creative & shop all in one place!! 5.0 (450)

Sarah Munnings was working in the corporate world of finance and when she was struck down by a devastating mystery illness. Tests, more tests, and months of trips to doctors led to the diagnoses of Fibromyalgia (a chronic pain condition). This led to Sarah to rediscover her creativity as her own personal form of rehabilitation and become a self-taught jeweller who developed a table top jewellery practice in her kitchen.

She now teaches others the amazing creations that can be made using copper, silver and brass. She uses traditional techniques of forging, soldering and texturing metal, and is passionate about using tools that are easily accessible so that her guests at workshops can continue their journey of discovery at home.
