What you'll do

Have you ever had the itch to try your hand at handmaking jewellery in Sterling Silver?

Tried a ring class and want to explore if you now have a passion or just would love to make your own individual jewellery in Sterling Silver?

Join our jewellery making class in Mt Dandenong, where you will learn how to create your own stunning jewellery in Australian sterling silver (or gold).

Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to explore your creativity and craft something truly unique to reflect your personal style.

Under the guidance of Jeweller/Goldsmith Helene Campbell, you'll learn the techniques of texturing and shaping sterling silver to create silver jewellery.

You choose ONE SET projects:

Project One - 1 x beaten ring & 1 x embossed/textured/beaten/polished pendant OR

Project Two - 1 x pair (at least) of embossed /textured/beaten/polished earrings OR

Project Three - 2 x Rings - either as two separate pieces or combine the two rings into a spin/fidget ring

Our workshop is held on a relaxing Saturday/Sunday morning or afternoon, giving you the perfect atmosphere to unwind and immerse yourself in this enjoyable activity. Throughout the class, you'll work at a real jeweller's bench, allowing you to connect with the craft and appreciate the effort that goes into creating handmade jewellery.

You'll be provided with the necessary materials, tools and Helene will guide you every step of the way. Feel free to ask questions, seek guidance and let your creativity flow.

By the end of the class, you'll proudly walk away with your very own handmade jewellery, making this experience not only enjoyable but also rewarding.

Please note:

If you are considering upgrading to 9CT Yellow Gold, your class must be booked one week in advance, as your material is prepared in house ready for the class and to the same measurements as the Sterling Silver you are replacing for your selected project. Add the comment that you would like a quote to upgrade to Gold, this price can only be held for a limited time due to current world market fluctuations.

Note for bookings October 2026 onwards - Tall Trees Studio Workshops are relocating to Mt Dandenong to a new studio workshop, just 3 minutes down the road by car from Olinda (with lots of free car parking). The new address will be provided upon booking, and will be updated on ClassBento in August 2026.

What you'll get

Knowledge required

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or someone who may have previously dabbled in jewellery making with metal.

Must be 16+ to book as a solo booker.

Age 14+ booking as a experience with a parent/guardian also booking and participating.

What to bring

Closed-toe comfortable shoes.
No loose clothing.
Hair clips, ties, etc., for long hair.

Tall Trees Studio now has two dedicated Tutors for our various workshops.

Helene for all Precious Metal Forming Jewellery Workshops and Siobhan for all Beading Jewellery Workshops.

Helene is the owner and Goldsmith in Tall Trees Studio & Gallery and lives on Mt Dandenong. Helene's passion is handcrafted jewellery, not the mass produced items being produced by casting in factories. Traditional slow hand crafted, starting from granule, alloying to carat, making sheet and wire, then hand crafting the pieces, incorporating both traditional and contemporary techniques.

Helene enjoy handcrafting jewellery so much that she finds that she loves sharing this passion with more people.

Siobhan is local to The Dandenong Ranges and has been running her own successful jewellery business and conducting creative workshops, for over 10 years. She first started learning different jewellery making skills in her teens before embarking on a more corporate career in Human Resources, Training and Development and being a mum to her three children.

Together with her vast jewellery making skills plus her qualifications in and love of training, she is now extending her workshop schedule to share her skills with us at Tall Trees Studio. Siobhan holds a current working with children check.

If you're familiar with Tall Trees Studio & Gallery then you will have seen Siobhan's extensive jewellery, under the brand Berjique Jewellery, on display since we first opened our doors.

Siobhan loves nothing more than to share her knowledge, create a warm, friendly and inclusive environment for learning and to have a few laughs while creating.
