What you'll do
If you’ve ever wanted to make candles at home this fun Brisbane workshop will give you all of the basic DIY candle making skills you need! Our fun and experienced teacher will guide you step by step through the candle making process and teach you about the tools you will need to create them, heating temperatures, different wicks, and how to make your candles smell beautiful using fragrances.This candle making class includes everything you will need to make your own soy candles including beautiful glass cups to set them in, and decorations. Create One colourful candles using dyes and learn candle making tips, tricks and creative enhancements to use on your DIY journey. This class is great for a team building activity, birthday, hens party or private parties with function rates available. At the end of this hands-on workshop, you will have a great understanding of how candles work and have a beautiful collection of your own handmade candles!Please note: your candles will take 10 hours to set, and must be picked up on another day. I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. I believe in bringing these experiences to the customer at the very best competitive price possible, the real Australian Way.
