Sticker and Junk Journaling Class for Kids

Draw It. Peel It. Tell Your Story

7 to 12 years     16 hours total (over 8 dates) Location Paradise Point Class size 1 to 10 guests   $234

Does your child love drawing, stickers, notebooks, collecting little things or filling pages with their own ideas?
Sticker Story Club is our new creative program that runs each school term from 10am-12pm for children aged 7 to 12, where drawing, sticker making and visual journaling come together.
Each week, our young creatives will design and create their own stickers, experiment with different ways of making images, and build a growing collection they can keep, use and swap with other club members.
Children will also be introduced to visual journaling as a creative practice. Using drawing, collage, colour, words, scraps and their own stickers, they will create journal pages that give them room to explore ideas, interests, memories, feelings and the everyday things that matter to them.
Across the weeks, children will have opportunities to:
  • create original stickers from their own drawings and designs
  • learn how artwork can move from paper to a finished printed sticker
  • experiment with drawing, collage, colour, lettering and mixed media
  • build a personal collection of stickers for future creative use
  • swap and share stickers within the club
  • create visual journal pages without pressure for them to look a particular way
  • develop confidence in their own creative choices and personal style
  • experience the connection and fun of making alongside other young creatives
  • discover visual journaling as something they can return to for expression, reflection and wellbeing
Sticker Story Club is not about being “good at art”. It is about having ideas, following curiosity and making something that feels like your own.
Each session is designed to build skills across the term. As the children become more confident with the sticker making process, there will be increasing opportunities to develop their own ideas and use their growing sticker collections in new ways.
All materials are supplied. Come draw it, peel it and tell your story. There is still time to join!

Hi, I’m Veronica, the founder of Vlinder Expressive Arts Therapy.
My path into this work did not begin in a studio. It began with curiosity. I have always been fascinated by people, by stories, and by the ways we make sense of the world when words are not enough. Before becoming an arts psychotherapist, I worked in libraries and early childhood education, spaces where observation, attunement and creativity quietly shape how people grow. Those experiences taught me something lasting. When people are given safety, time and the right materials, they naturally move toward meaning.
A pivotal moment for me was discovering art therapy during my own period of questioning and change. I saw how creative processes could gently reveal insight, regulate the nervous system and invite new perspectives without pressure or performance. That discovery led me to complete a Master of Art Therapy and to become a professional member of ANZACATA.
I love teaching and facilitating because it is never about having the answers. It is about holding space. I get to witness moments of recognition when someone realises they are more capable, more creative or more whole than they thought. That never gets old.
Something many people do not realise about art therapy is that you do not need to be artistic. The power is not in the final piece. It is in the process, the choices, the pauses and the reflections along the way.
Over the years, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults across clinical, community and group settings. I have facilitated programs in studios, schools and organisations, and supported hundreds of individuals to explore self regulation, identity, connection and growth through creative processes.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief. There is wonder in the world, and it often finds its voice through creativity. My role is to help people remember that, and to encourage them to be their own masterpiece.
If you are curious, you are already in the right place.
