Pride Collage Workshop: Create Your Own Pride Flag

Cut. Create. Celebrate who you are.

2 hours Class size 1 to 24 guests

$50 - $70 ($50 for Public Class; $70 for Private Class) (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Step into a relaxed, affirming space of creativity, colour, and Pride.
In this workshop, you’ll explore colour, shape, and symbolism as you create your own Pride flag collage—one that reflects who you are, what you stand for, and how you shine.
We’ll briefly look at the history and meaning behind different Pride flags, then you’ll be guided through designing your own version using mixed media, paint, paper, and texture. You’re welcome to recreate a flag that represents your community or design something entirely personal that reflects your identity and journey.
This is a playful, expressive session—not heavy, not clinical, and with no pressure to share unless you want to. Music will be playing, materials will be flowing, and creative freedom is encouraged.
What you’ll create:
  • A Pride flag-inspired collage
  • Bold, expressive, symbolic, completely your own
Who it’s for:
Open to LGBTQIA+ community members, allies, and anyone who wants to explore self-expression through colour and creativity.
No experience needed, just bring your fabulous self.

I’m Wayde Clarke, a proud Wiradjuri and Birpai artist and art therapist based in Newcastle, and the creative mind behind Alejandro Lauren and Alejandro’s - Gallery | Workshops | Collective.
My journey began as a way to reconnect with my culture, emotions, and the stories that shape who we are. Art became my way to heal, express, and share the oldest living culture in the world through colour, pattern, and symbolism. That passion grew into running creative workshops that help others do the same exploring their feelings, stories, and connection through art.
I love teaching because it’s more than making art, it’s about creating a safe, inspiring space where people can express themselves freely and rediscover creativity. Seeing people open up and connect through storytelling and colour is what keeps me doing what I love.
I’ve had the privilege of working with schools, councils, and major organisations including NSW Health, NSW Government, Wesley Mission, City of Parramatta, and Cotton On, running art and cultural storytelling workshops for communities, corporate teams, and youth programs. Each session is designed to be hands-on, heart-led, and deeply meaningful.
My artwork has also been exhibited nationally and featured in campaigns celebrating reconciliation, pride, and healing. Every workshop, artwork, and collaboration is guided by the same goal, to connect, create, and celebrate culture.
Come join me, pick up a brush, and let’s tell your story through art.
