Want to do something creative but a blank page sends you into a panic? Do you love colour?
Then you’ll love the playfulness and excitement of monoprinting! This is an accessible and creative form of printmaking which uses found objects to print one-of-a-kind and often unexpected images. No drawing skills or art experience required. It's a fun technique that will ignite your creative spark.
We’ll be using the studio etching press to reveal the most exquisite detail of our leaves — every vein, blemish, and imperfection becomes visible, as if the entire life story of the leaf is being uncovered and honoured.
You'll be delighted and captivated by the beauty of your leaf prints!
Cancellation Policy: Life happens, we get it! You can cancel or reschedule your workshop booking anytime up to 7 days before the class. Art from the Urban Wilderness is a community art studio located at Hive Studios in Banyo, northside Brisbane/Meanjin.
The studio was founded by artist Sandra Pearce in 2021, and specialises in the techniques of printmaking, papermaking, drawing, bookbinding and artist books. We offer workshops, courses, social art days, and artist talk events.
Our mission is to build an inclusive art community that nurtures creative authenticity, confidence and resilience. We also believe in the power of art to break the cycle of disaffection towards nature, to enrich lives and inspire care for the environment.
