What you'll do
We're bringing our fun, relaxing, and unique perfume-making class to Maitland in the Hunter region! Step into the alluring world of fragrances and scents with our natural perfumery workshop!Make your own signature scent and learn how to create two kinds of fragrances to take home with you: Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum. This class is the perfect gift for anniversaries, Mother's Day, and other special occasions. Our small class size ensures our instructor is available to guide you in the creative and formulation process.We'll start with the science and history of perfume. You'll be introduced to the different kinds of fragrances. Gain an understanding of how fragrance notes work and be guided through the fragrance pyramid and fragrance wheel. By the end of the class, you will have the confidence to layer fragrances and design your own signature scent.With over 80 natural fragrances available in our studio, we'll explore the fragrance family from fresh, floral, and fruity to spicy, earthy, and woody. Using perfumer's grade alcohol and only natural absolutes, extracts, resins, essential and plant oils, you will create a scent profile that's unique to you.You will be spoilt for choice of crowd favourites and niche scents like jasmine and ylang-ylang, frangipani, rosewood, vanilla, juniper, grapefruit, lemon, lavender, rose, patchouli, cinnamon, and cedarwood to name a few. You will also be introduced to our very own Australian native ingredients like lemon myrtle, tea tree, eucalyptus blue gum, and kunzea.At the end of the workshop, you will make your own fragrances in two styles:
- Your choice of Eau de Cologne or Eau de Toilette in a perfumer's grade alcohol base, 30ml spray bottle.
- Eau de Parfum, a luxurious oil-based perfume in a stylish 10ml bottle, a handbag or purse must-have.

Hi, I'm Louella. I'm a small batch maker of natural products and fragrances.My handmade journey started when I was working for Australian farmers and discovered how amazing plants are! I started making natural lip balms with plant oils from our kitchen bench. And Kiss Ready Lips, a collection of natural lip balms was born. Many years on, I still hand make our eco luxe natural products. These days, you'll find me at Naturally Ready, our Marrickville studio in Sydney, teaching natural perfume, home fragrances and DIY skincare workshops.I also run private in-person workshops for hen's and bridal shower, birthday parties and team building.
