Wheel Throwing Nerikomi (Marbled Clay) Pottery Workshop

Create stunning marbled ceramics using colourful clay and traditional Nerikomi techniques.

2 hours

Class size 1 to 16 (public classes), 4 to 30

  $66 - $89 ($89 per guest when you book for 1 guest, $80/guest for 2 guests, $75/guest for 3 guests, $66/guest for 4+ guests) (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Discover one of the most fascinating ceramic techniques in the world by creating beautiful patterns that run all the way through the clay itself.
Unlike painting or surface decoration, Nerikomi uses coloured clay to build intricate designs from the inside out. Every slice reveals unexpected marbled patterns, making every piece completely unique.
During this workshop, you'll:
  • Learn the basics of Nerikomi (marbled clay) techniques
  • Combine coloured clays to create your own patterns
  • Roll, stack, twist, and slice clay to reveal beautiful designs
  • Transform your patterned clay into a functional ceramic piece such as a plate, bowl, or trinket dish
  • Finish your work with smoothing and refining techniques before firing

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the session; if that happens, we'll inform you and let you choose between a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.
