I have been a writer and singer-songwriter for over 30 years. I thrive on teaching process and unlocking the creativity within budding writers. I am an award-winning poet with two published poetry collections, First Blood and If There Is a Butterfly That Drinks Tears, with a third, The Commonwealth of Amnesia, due out in 2026. I know how to help writers shape poems and complete collections for publication.Having taught writing workshops at colleges and universities in the United States and Australia, at writing festivals, and public libraries, I have the background and skills to bring out the hidden writer in you.My passions are free verse, form poetry, erasure poetry, and collage. Making poetry -- written and visual -- can be a way to help you process your emotions, be an escape from your everyday life, and a craft that brings joy and fulfillment.
