Flower Pounding and Embroidery Class

Pound and transfer fresh flowers onto fabric to create your own artwork!

3 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests

$90 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Experience the joy and cathartic feeling of flower pounding with Pennie from Hummingpea in the beautiful Botanista workshop in Port Noarlunga.
Join us for an afternoon of discovering the magic and wonder of flowers! We will learn how to transfer fresh flowers onto fabric using a hammer to create colourful prints and then embellish our work with freehand embroidered stitches.
No previous experience or skills are required. This is a flexible workshop and all skill levels are welcome. All materials, tools, and flowers are provided for you to create your artwork.
Our Botanista classes are also kept small so one-on-one teaching is catered to where you are at with the stitching. There is the option to just do the flower pounding, and no obligation to join the embroidery component if you prefer not to.
By the end of the class, you will take home your very own unique and everlasting flower posy artwork, as well as a new obsession, and an activity to keep your hands busy!
Please note: We use hammers on chopping boards in this workshop and it does get noisy. If you are sensitive to that kind of noise, you are welcome to bring your own headphones.
What you'll get
Your own creative flower posy artwork to take home.
