Fused Pattern Glass Platter Course

Level up your glass fusing skills with this fused strip pattern platter

3 x 3 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests       $600 (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

In this glass fusing course, you'll create fused tiles with strips of your favourite coloured glass. Choose to work with either transparent or opaque glass or a mix of both to add depth to your piece.
Over three weeks, you will learn to cut strips of glass and lay them out into a patterned tile. After firing, these will then be cut again into pieces that become components in more complex, interesting designs.
Finally, in week three, you will cold work your artwork to polish the sides and clump the artwork into the shape of your choosing.
Summary of the course:
  • Week 1: Create fused tiles and pattern bars using your favourite colours.
  • Week 2: Cut the fused tiles into components that will then be refired to create intricate patterns and captivating designs.
  • Week 3: Learn how to cold work/polish your platter and elevate the finished piece.
This course is beginner-friendly, or you can happily build on knowledge from previous classes. You will be guided through the steps, providing a hands-on experience with all materials and tools provided.
By the end of the course, you will not only have learned new techniques and honed your skills in fusing but also have a beautifully finished piece to take home.
This is also a course you can take multiple times or as an ongoing course, as you can create something new and stunning every time!
