I'm Jo Strother, the founder of Gather The Modern Mercantile. Before starting Gather, I spent over 10 years as a high school teacher, sharing my passion for learning and creativity with my students. Teaching has always been at the heart of what I do, and that love for education and all things craft carries over into the workshops I offer at Gather. I wanted to create a space where people can come together, learn new skills, and connect with their community. Whether it’s through hands-on crafting, supporting local artisans, or simply sharing a moment of creativity, Gather is all about celebrating the joy of making and the power of connection.
