  • 5/5 from Sharon Spooner, attended Jul 2025: Thank you so much Theresa for such a great class learning how to make and bind a Junk Journal. I am looking forward to your You Tube tutorial to get a better grip on the hand stitching for the binding, I really loved learning this skill because it makes your journal look so authentic!! You were so inviting and generous with your knowledge and made it very easy for my Support Worker, to feel a part of the morning and I really thank you for that. Thank you too for running the class for just me, this was a surprise, and I acknowledge that you ran the class even though you normally have a class size limit, but I can see that that is just the kind and generous person that you are who loves what they do and wants to share that skill with others. You are definitely invested in helping people create and mindfully draw on inner feelings to create something beautiful and from the heart, that I know for me, I will now be able to build my Journal with self assurance so I can draw inner strength when I need it most! I really look forward to doing more classes with you to learn more advanced skills so that I can continue to make more journals with more intricacies. I had had a little bit of exposure to what a Junk Journal was before I did the class from when I was in hospital for 12 weeks and there were patients who had their own Junk Journals that they kept with them, full to the brim of things that made them happy and gave them joy, memories of special events in their lives that while they were hospitalised for an extended period they could look upon and dwell on, remembering good times and things that meant so much to them, all compact and right there for them to draw on special moments, words of wisdom, letters and cards, snippets of time at a trying time in their life. From that moment on I became interested in making my own Junk Journal/s. Thank you so much your class was awesome and I would highly recommend it!
  • 5/5 from Sahra Henriksen, attended Feb 2025: Fantastic class yet again! I learnt so much in this class about how to make a beautiful Junk Journal AND a travel size art journal! Absolutely loved it! Went home practising some more and almost finished what will make a unique keepsake! Theresa is a brilliant teacher who always builds confidence in her students, not only during the class, but also to continue the learning at home and to be proud of the beautiful result!

Hi, I’m Theresa!
I’m a mixed media artist and crafter. My passion is showing woman how creative activities like colouring, watercolour painting and art journaling can help to manage stress and anxiety to improve their mental health.
As a mum, I know how little time we make for ourselves especially when it comes to taking care of our mental health. My aim is to help you gain a better understanding of the importance of nurturing creativity and why your mental health matters.
The joy of art is in the process but if the process is labour intensive and overwhelming you might give up before you even got started. I have curated three very popular art activities and tweaked and simplified the tools and techniques to make the process quick and easy to complete in a short amount of time, relatively mess free yet satisfying enough for the passionate creative.
I am delighted to share these tried and tested techniques with you, so that you can enjoy your creative time and the benefits of it without adding extra stress and work to your already busy day.
