How can we help?
Q: What age is this clay play workshop suitable for?
This workshop is designed for toddlers and young children aged 2–5 years. Children must attend with a parent, carer or guardian who will participate alongside them.
Q: Do parents need to stay during the workshop?
Yes. This is a parent and child pottery experience, designed to encourage bonding, creativity and shared play. One adult must remain with each child during the session.
Q: What will children do during the clay play session?
Children can explore a variety of sensory clay play stations including rolling, stamping, cutting, moulding and clay painting. Activities are self-directed, allowing kids to explore at their own pace.
Q: Do we get to take our pottery home?
This session focuses on sensory play and creative exploration, so finished pieces are not included. However, if you create something special you’d like to keep, we can professionally fire and glaze it for $30 per item.
Q: Where is the workshop held?
The session takes place at Happy Hub Collective’s pottery studio in Fremantle, a light-filled, plant-filled creative space designed for relaxed making.

Q: When do these toddler pottery sessions run?
Sessions run every Thursday & Friday from 9:15AM-10:15AM, making them perfect for end of week creative outings with your child.
Q: Do children need any pottery or art experience?
Not at all! This workshop is beginner-friendly and designed specifically for young children. The focus is on playful exploration rather than learning technical pottery skills.
Q: What should we wear to the workshop?
Clay can get messy (that’s part of the fun!), so we recommend comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
Q: Why is clay play good for toddlers?
Clay play is a wonderful sensory activity for toddlers that supports fine motor skills, creativity, confidence and emotional regulation — while also creating meaningful parent-child bonding time.
