How can we help?
Q: Do I need any pottery experience?
Not at all. This workshop is beginner-friendly and guided step-by-step. We also welcome returning and experienced makers.
Q: How long does the workshop run?
The session runs for 1 hour and 45 minutes, allowing plenty of time to learn techniques, create mindfully, and enjoy the experience.
Q: What will I make?
You’ll hand-build one ceramic piece using pinch, coil, slab or simple sculpting techniques. We encourage creating something intentional that you’ll truly love.
Q: What’s included in my ticket?
All materials, tools, aprons, creative guidance, firing and glazing of one piece are included. Tea, coffee and soda stream access are provided, with an alcohol-free margarita on arrival if selected.
Q: Can I make more than one piece?
Your ticket includes firing and glazing for one piece. If you’d like to keep additional creations, a $30 per item fee applies to cover firing and glazing.
Q: What happens if my piece breaks?
Clay is a natural, unpredictable material, and breakage can occur during drying or firing. While most pieces do make it through the process, finished outcomes can’t be guaranteed and we’re unable to offer replacements for work that cracks or breaks during drying or kiln firing. This is a normal part of working with handmade ceramics. In the rare event that a piece is accidentally damaged by a member of our team outside of the firing process, we’ll provide replacement clay and a complimentary firing and glazing of one item.
Q: How long will my piece take to be ready?
Finished pieces are usually ready 6–8 weeks after your workshop. We’ll notify you when your work is ready for collection.
Q: Do you offer postage?
We don’t offer postage. All pottery must be collected by you or a nominated friend or family member within 4 weeks of completion (12 weeks after your workshop).
Q: Can I come solo or is this better as a group?
Both! Many guests come solo and love the relaxed, social atmosphere. It’s also perfect for friends, birthdays, hens parties and celebrations.
Q: What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in. Hand-building pottery is quite clean, and if you do get a little clay on you, it typically dries and dusts straight off. We’ve hosted workshops in some very fancy spaces and mess has never been an issue. Aprons are available for anyone who prefers extra protection.
Q: What's the cancellation policy?
A: No cancellations, but free to reschedule up until 7 days before the class
Q: How long does the class run for, and what's the price?
A: 105 mins, $119 - $129 per guest ($119 for Signature Pottery Workshop | Tea/Coffee); $129 for Pottery Workshop | Alcohol-free Margarita on arrival)
