Not Your Granny's Sampler: Modern Embroidery for Beginners

2.5 hours Class size 12 to 30 guests       $65 (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Embroidery doesn’t have to mean flowers in a hoop (unless that’s your thing). In this beginner-friendly workshop, we ditch the dull designs and dive into small, intriguing stitched projects with personality.

You’ll learn the essential embroidery stitches, from backstitch and satin stitch to French knots and more, while completing a project you choose from a collection of modern mini-project templates, including patches, symbolic motifs, tiny framed worlds, or stitched words with attitude. Want to stitch a third-eye mushroom? A sassy message for your wall? A patch that spices up your jacket? Yes, please.

You’ll walk away with:

  • Solid beginner stitch skills
  • A finished or nearly finished design
  • A piece you’ll actually want to show off, not hide behind your couch

No experience needed; just curiosity, a dash of imagination, and maybe a podcast-level attention span.

Examples of some of the projects available:

  • Sassy Word Art in hoop
  • Pocket Shrine
  • Wearable Patches
  • Embroidered Felt Bag Charm / Bookmark / Christmas Decoration

Please note: This class requires at least 5 students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.
