At Creative Beginnings, our Resin Art Workshops are designed for complete beginners through to curious creatives, giving you the opportunity to create stunning, functional homewares while enjoying a meaningful and memorable experience.
Whether you’re joining us for a girls’ day out, a special occasion, or simply carving out time for yourself — this is your invitation to pause, play and create.

Your workshop includes everything you need to design and create your own unique piece.
You can choose to create:
  • A small cheeseboard set with bowl
  • A 33cm resin clock
  • A 30 x 30cm framed wall art piece
  • A small decorative tray with coaster
If you’re feeling inspired to go bigger, you’ll also have the option to upgrade on the day to larger statement pieces such as:
  • Giant cheeseboards
  • Side tables
  • Lazy Susans
  • Larger art boards or framed canvas
  • Trays in a variety of shapes
Every piece is completely your own design, guided step-by-step with support whenever you need it.

Workshops run for approximately 3 hours, allowing you time to fully enjoy the creative process.
All materials are provided, and no experience is needed.
Your resin piece will need 24 hours to cure, and collection arrangements will be made on the day.

Knowledge required
Beginner Friendly, anyone can learn this amazing art medium, even if you think you haven't a creative bone in your body, you'll find it here!
What to bring
  • Wear older clothing as the resin is very sticky and will ruin clothes!
  • Safety glasses if you prefer to bring your own, (we have shared glasses available)
  • We supply absolutely everything for your art piece including PPE: gloves and aprons

FAQ

May I take my art piece home with me on the day?
No, your art piece needs drying time overnight, pick up times will be available.24hrs after your session and arranged on the day.
Do you have disability facilities on site?
Yes our setting is within the old Mclaren Vale Hospital, we are wheelchair friendly and we have ramps for access and disability facilities available.
May I bring along my own board to resin?
Yes you certainly can, however it is best to contact Kerry first to ensure your board is suitable, and to confirm if there may be any additional cost, due to a larger surface area to pour.

Kerry Mart is your devoted artist and teacher. Her mission is to ignite your passion for creativity, intertwining it with wellness in inspiring art workshops.
A self-taught artist with over 40 years of experience, she pours her heart and soul into each session, crafted with beginners in mind.
Her workshops embrace a diverse range of art mediums and techniques as she loves them all equally. From the magical world of resin art, a fun sip and paint acrylic class within the Magpie Springs Winery, or a sip and create gathering at her local community club in McLaren Flat, where they alternate mediums monthly, it's a wonderful opportunity to have a go at playing with alcohol inks, acrylics, oils, or watercolors.
At each session, you're guided step-by-step with visual inspiration and live demonstrations to create unique art pieces that will fill you with pride.
At Creative Beginnings, we firmly believe in the power of arts for mental and emotional well-being. Kerry previously worked in Community Aged Care as a Home Care Coordinator. It was here that she started teaching art to small groups of over 65's. Witnessing the profound impact art had on her clients, she was inspired to extend her art classes to the broader community to promote well-being through art.
Regardless of your skill level or ability, her nurturing environment offers a warm sense of community, fun, and belonging as you create and connect with fellow art enthusiasts.
