What you'll do

Experience the hype of the viral tufting trend at this hands-on North Adelaide workshop!

In just three hours, beginners are welcome to learn how to tuft their own 60cm x 60cm rug. The design is totally up to you, where you can draw freehand on your fabric or use a projector to trace the outline.

Then the fun begins! Your friendly teacher from Polisu Art will be there to guide you step by step through the process of using a tufting gun, as you punch your yarn in mesmeric lines and patterns throughout your piece.

The course fee includes yarn materials and guided instruction. The backing needs to be selected in the studio, with two options available: non-slip fabric or felt fabric. Pricing varies depending on the size. You can also choose to take your finished piece home and handle the backing yourself. Basic gluing, flattening, and trimming are provided free of charge, while detailed finishing and waterproof adhesive are optional paid upgrades. These are not mandatory, but simply available for those who need them.

Please note:

Changing appointment time should before 24 hours before you come. There will be no refund for canceling or changing appointment time on the day of your appointment.
50% handling fee will be charged if you want to change or cancel your appointment. So please make sure the appointment day before you come.
An additional $40 per hour will be charged for overtime worked in the store.

Polisu is the name composed of the three most important elements in arts, "point", "line", and "surface". It's not only limited to painting but also reflected in many other artworks. We put together a team of ceramicists and artists to bring you the most enjoyable way to learn pottery, tufting, drawing and other handcrafted works. We host everything from one-off pinch pot sessions to tufting classes. For larger groups, our studio can be booked out for private sessions.
