Before the workshop:
1. Take a colour photo of a space where your finished painting will hang.
2. Find an image to paint and print that off in black and white.
3. Draw or trace your black and white image onto a canvas ready for the workshop (you provide the canvas and I provide the rest).
If you need help preparing your canvas, tracing the image or choosing a reference photo, I'm happy to assist; just call or message me before the workshop.

In the workshop, choose the colours to paint your image. Try to match them to the colour scheme of the room where the painting will hang. I will guide you through this.

Draw or trace your black and white image onto a canvas, then paint it in your selected colour palette. I'll help you match your colours to the tonal values in the image.


In this unique painting class, you'll select an artwork for a space in your home, then match the colour scheme for interior harmony. The resulting artwork will be personalised for your style and taste, and colour-matched to your chosen room.
Under my guidance, you'll learn:
  • How to select and mix a colour palette that suits a chosen space.
  • How to use a black and white tonal image to guide your colour painting.
The Process:

At the workshop:
1. Using both images, we will choose a harmonious colour palette to suit the hanging space, learning to convert black and white tones to their corresponding colours.
What you'll get

  • Take home your personalised painting to hang in your home.
Knowledge required
This workshop is suitable for beginners or intermediate artists. You will get personalised guidance throughout the workshop and a hands-on demonstration from the tutor.

I teach adults Friday mornings and children Tuesday evenings at the Nepean Art Society, Emu Plains.
