With flowers in hand, you’ll create your own natural garden-style vase arrangement, learning how to balance height, texture and form. You’ll explore how different stems interact, how movement and negative space bring life to an arrangement, and how thoughtful placement creates something that feels both relaxed and intentional.
Our workshops are held at two locations — our flower farm in Silvan in the beautiful Yarra Valley, and at Burwood Brickworks in Burwood East, home to our Botaniculture farm city shop. At both locations, you’ll work with locally grown blooms freshly picked from our farm or thoughtfully sourced from nearby growers, always naturally in season.
We begin with a discussion about working with the natural palette of the season. You’ll learn how seasonal availability and stem structure influence design choices, and how to approach arranging in a way that feels grounded in the rhythm of the farm.
With a beautiful selection of fresh flowers to work with, you’ll be guided through the process of creating a garden-inspired vase arrangement, exploring balance, texture and natural form. Along the way, we’ll share practical tips on conditioning flowers, selecting stems, and creating arrangements that feel abundant yet effortless.
By the end of the session, you’ll have created your own seasonal vase arrangement to take home — along with the knowledge and confidence to approach future designs with sustainability and seasonal awareness in mind.
From the moment you arrive, everything is provided so you can focus on learning, creating and connecting with the season. Through our small-group workshops you’ll gain practical skills, explore sustainable flower design, and experience working with flowers in a relaxed and supportive environment.
This workshop is perfect for aspiring florists, creatives and flower lovers, career changers exploring floristry, small business owners refining their styling approach, and growers interested in expanding into floral design.
No prior experience is needed — just curiosity, a willingness to get your hands a little dirty, and a love of flowers.
