Ideally you have done the Pottery wheel beginners session, and have the ability to make something little better for glaze firing. We now have the wheel Spin then Paint intermediate session
In this session you will make 1-2 pieces on the wheel initially., therefore allowing enough time to paint the pieces. Then once removed from the wheel, will be using the Underglaze colours to paint directly on the piece. You can get some professional detail as we take it off wheel so not just colouring it in one or two plain colours.
These 1-2 pieces will then go through the kiln firing process, with the first bisk firing, we will then apply the Glaze to the pieces for the second glaze firing. We quote 4 weeks for pickup guaranteed, so we do not have to message you as they will be automatically ready latest by that date. Generally we take 3 weeks, however guarantee the 4 weeks for pickup in our main studio 1 week days between 1pm and 5:30pm
Please note: Minimum of 4 people are required to run public sessions, alternatively we do have private sessions with special pricing from one to 30 people.
If you book and we do not have the minimum numbers of 4 people, we will be in contact with you to reschedule the date
We also offer small groups sessions with public sessions with minimum 4 people in a public session up to 10 x people. We have two throwing room studios, so we tend to split the bookings with an average class size of 6 people.

Providing social art classes in beautiful South Brisbane

I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.
I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.
I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.
I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.
I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. I believe in bringing these experiences to the customer at the very best competitive price possible, the real Australian Way. We have the largest range of paintings available with over 80 paintings on the gallery page of Wesley Taylor Art Studios, with the painting for each week found on the web page.
We hope you enjoy these sessions for a fun experience. The paintings are creative for maximum impact of colors, while keeping in mind first-time painting experiences. Those with a little more practice will create some amazing pieces.
