Private Wheel Throwing Workshop for Two

Get creative at this Melbourne workshop

2 hours Class size 1 to 2 guests       $150 (PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Slow down, breathe out, and sink your hands into clay for a couple of hours of creativity and calm.
This private pottery session is designed for complete beginners — perfect for a romantic date, a fun afternoon with your bestie, or a gentle “just us” moment with a parent or loved one. With only two guests per workshop (three if you have a third in your party), you’ll receive warm, personalised guidance from an experienced potter.
Your experience includes:
  • A demonstration on the wheel so you can see the process up close.
  • Step-by-step guidance as you take to the wheel.
  • Plenty of time to build confidence — no rushing, no pressure.
  • Hands on help and encouragement as you create pieces you’re proud of.
Beginners will make 2–3 pieces each (often mugs, bowls or small vases) and then select one for finishing. We take care of trimming, glazing and firing afterwards, so your selected creations will look polished and professional.
Workshops are held in our cosy studio above a boutique garden nursery — a calm, plant-filled space designed to help you unwind, reset and enjoy the moment.
Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply want to try something new together, this is a beautiful way to connect, create, and get your hands messy in the best possible way.

A couple of years ago while out on a walk, we realised we shared a desire to try ceramics as a way to distract ourselves from our professional careers - even if just for a couple of hours. Straight away we were hooked!
We became addicted with pottery as an after-hours passion, quickly buying our own wheels and set up a home studio. While experimenting with various forms, our focus was on making planters for all our plants.
Very soon, we had the idea of creating a green space to combine our love of gardening with our new found love of pottery. Late last year, we found our little urban garden nursery space and now sell local ceramicists work, along with our own.
We have a working studio above the garden nursery and have many friends requesting lessons. Pottery is a way to forget the daily pressures and meditate with clay for a couple of hours.
The studio is a calm and cosy space, welcoming anyone who has a desire to try ceramics.
