Bottomless hot drinks to enjoy in art-cafe style workshops.

We host a variety of workshops in our art cafe, so you can create while you enjoy drinks and nibbles.
Enjoy the bottomless Hot drinks beverage bar, which includes tea, matcha tea, instant coffee, hot chocolate and bottled water, with a side of 2 x Tim Tam chocolate biscuits. This is a self-service bar set up in the studio. All other drinks and food are still BYO as per usual, along with alcoholic drinks if preferred.
We run different activities at different times, but you'll get a full introduction at the start of the workshop, along with help and guidance from our resident artists and instructors. You'll be working in a shared area, with workshops staggered over the day. Bookings are essential, and arriving on time is also essential so that the rest of the class can run on time.
Workshop pricing inclusive of hot drinks beverage bar:
  • Clay and Sip Pottery Hand Build: Everyone makes something different with inspirational sheets and samples to inspire you. Cost is $29. Any Kiln firing is an optional extra.
  • Clay Pottery Make and Paint for Glaze: Make your pottery pieces, then paint in underglaze. Includes firing and glazing. Your items will be glazed and water proofed making them fully functional, so you could make something like a mug or bowl. Cost is $89 inclusive.
  • Wheel throwing for beginners: This is a highly instructed step-by-step session, where you can make up to 3 pieces on the wheel. Cost is $99. Any Kiln firing is an optional extra.
  • Pottery painting (plus the cost of the piece to paint). Costs range from $19 to a maximum of $49 for your pottery pieces. The class costs $15 to book.
  • Pre-glazed ceramic painting (plus the cost of the piece to paint). The class costs $15 to book. Prices for the ceramic items range from $15 to $39. We use a special enamel paint that is oven baked at home, so you can take the pieces after the class. Packaging and bags are supplied so you can get these home safely.
  • Glass Painting includes x 2 Glasses to paint. Cost is $39 inclusive of materials.
  • Hat burning Fedora hat workshop, includes the hat $89.
  • Stencil paint and sip, includes all materials. This session has stencils available to assist with your inspiration. Note, this is not the step by step paint and sip class; it is more self-guided.

Birthday cake is free for bookings of 7 people or more. Mud Caramel or chocolate, depending on availability (includes candle, napkins, plates, cutlery). Option to purchase for $50 for smaller groups.

We have 6 x studios on level 1, and we have 2 x Art cafes operating with the Main studio 1 on weekdays Monday till Thursday, and yellow studio 5 on the weekends from Friday to Sunday.

I'm a Brisbane-based artist, and I've been painting and drawing since my early childhood days. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship from the Queensland Art Gallery, which gave me ample opportunity to pursue my passion and hone my skills.
I'm very much inspired by the beauty and diversity of Australia. Many of my paintings focus on landscapes, surrealism, animals, and people. North Queensland is a particular favorite, and you'll see the influence of coral seas and mountain landscapes throughout my artwork. I have a post-impressionist style through which I try to capture the wonder of the world around us.
I specialize in pastel on card and acrylic on canvas, though I'm also experimenting with abstract and airbrush.
I've been fortunate enough to display my work in many art exhibitions and have been the recipient of many prizes and awards.
I offer Paint and Sip sessions along with Clay and Sip sessions, both at discounted rates for ClassBento Patrons. I believe in bringing these experiences to the customer at the very best competitive price possible, the real Australian Way. We hope you enjoy these sessions for a fun experience. The paintings are creative for maximum impact of colors, while keeping in mind first-time painting experiences. Those with a little more practice will create some amazing pieces.

The Wesley Taylor Art Studios Mission initially set out to create workshops at half the cost of other workshops for customers to be able to enjoy the experience of creating a piece of artwork. This endeavor was to create the foundation of employing artists with a like-minded sense of assisting customers to enjoy this time out while creating new art experiences. The goals of value for money for customers and employment for artists to run these fun activities that may mark a milestone, a birthday, a hen's party, a social activity, a first date, or company team-building events to build and strengthen relationships with a common bond of creating something new. Each dandelion in the field represents a thousand possibilities waiting to be released into the wind. Just relax and be free with the wind.
