Merryl's Mosaics is taking their successful mosaic and sip model and is now offering a fused glass class in Melbourne!
Come and have a fun experience learning how to create gorgeous fused glass creations! You can make fun pieces or more serious pieces. Sip on your BYO drinks and socialise as you go. A cheese platter is part of the package.
In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn the process of designing and making your own fused glass art from start to finish while being guided by an expert. No artistic experience is required.
You will be given blank glass bases and can choose to make two coasters and some pocket hugs or fridge magnets, or a 17cm x 17cm art piece/dish/tealight holder/arc. You will learn the basics of glass fusing and will have fun designing your glass art pieces.
Learn how glass melts in a kiln, how to cut glass, create designs and have fun along the way. Immerse yourself in the magic of glass art and relax in a creative and calming environment.
By the end of the class, not only will you learn the wonderful skill of glass fusing, but you'll leave feeling creatively fulfilled, calm, centred and connected!
Your pieces will be left with us to fire and you will be notified when they are ready for pickup - usually a 2-3 week turnaround. For those of you who want us to post out your pieces, a $25 packing and postage fee will apply.

  • 5/5 from Dawn Wyatt, attended May 2025: Based on friend’s recommendations I’ve been keen to try one of Merryls glass classes. I was greeted at the door a little earlier than my class at 6.30 by Merryl who invited me to explore the workshop whilst we waited for the other class members. There was a great explanation of the different techniques we’d be using to create our piece of artwork. I was thoroughly absorbed in the class from beginning to end and can’t wait to collect my final piece one it’s gone through the fusion process. I’m hoping to book another session soon with my husband.
