What you'll do
This is a fabulous party activity for kids and teens alike, so if you're looking for kids birthday party ideas in Melbourne, this creative option will be loved by many!Using the most beautiful array of blingy beads, sequins, polymer clay flowers and sparkly mosaic glass tiles, and a choice of a huge range of templates, everyone will create their very own floral glass art mosaic in a fun and artistic environment. The result is very beautiful and fit to be framed and hung in your home! This party begins with participants choosing a template (we have a very wide range including picture frames, love hearts, hamsa's, pineapples, letters of the alphabet, unicorns, flowers and much more), then painting the template in a colour that will be a background to the colour group participants choose for their beads/flowers/tiles. Then kids will cut and stick shiny glass tiles as a border or use blingy beads and fill the piece with an array of beads and flowers.Typically the mosaic part of the kids birthday party runs for two hours. You then you have about 20 minutes for the food and celebration. Then in the last 10 minutes, the participants clean the grout off their pieces and polish them up and everyone will take home their creative mosaic. Recent reviews of Flowers and Bling Mosaic Party for Kids (Age 5-17)
- 4/5 from Rebecca Duenas, attended Sep 2026: We booked our daughter's 9th birthday party at Meryl's. It is a beautiful set up and the kids had fun. I think there may have been some confusion with the staff about which party we booked (bead mosaic vs flower bling) and we did not have a teacher or assistant for the entire duration of the party guiding or assisting the kids. I am not sure if they were understaffed that day but it seemed odd that we were mostly left on our own when we booked a private class. The kids did not notice any issues and that's what really matters.
- 5/5 from Lee Vu, attended Feb 2026: We had my daughter’s birthday party here and it was run beautifully. Communication was excellent from start to finish. The girls assisting on the day were lovely, professional and efficient. They were so kind and patient with all the children. There were so many colour choices, and my daughter and her friends loved all the pretty options on display. They had so much fun creating their amazing projects. Thank you so much for a lovely morning!
- 5/5 from Anna Burke, attended Sep 2025: Honestly the best birthday party for a group of 19 11 year old girls ever! The team that looked after us were beyond lovely and helpful and the girls had the best time expressing their creativity, chatting, giggling and just having fun. The adults who stayed were able to just relax and chat too while the girls enjoyed the activity. We are already planning to book in for the holiday program and another birthday party next year!! Thank you Merryl’s!! 10/10!!
- 5/5 from Natallia Smith, attended Apr 2023: A fantastic party place! The teachers were incredibly attentive and engaging with the kids, ensuring that everyone was having a great time. The party was very well-organized, with activities for the children to enjoy. There were plenty of options to choose from. Throughout the event, the teachers were always on hand to assist the children with anything they needed, and to make sure everyone was included and having a good time. They were friendly, patient, and truly seemed to love what they do. It was evident that a lot of thought and effort had gone into planning and executing the event, and the result was a fun and memorable experience for all involved. I would highly recommend this center for anyone looking to host an arts and crafts party or event for children.
- 5/5 from Anara Mailybayeva, attended Apr 2021: We had a 5 yo girl birthday here, and all the kids and adults enjoyed the party. The teacher, Merryl, was very friendly and accommodative. The class was very well organised and the whole experience was hands-on for both children and parents. There was a beautiful selection of shapes and beads for the kids to choose from. We also selected food for the kids with a good variety of treats and snacks, only brought our cake and extra nibbles for adults. Each child had plenty of time to finish their creation, and some who finished earlier had another small item to decorate and take home. All the kids had fun and went home with a sense of accomplishment. Highly recommend.
- 5/5 from Mia, attended Feb 2021: Rachel was great. She guided the children well. The room were spacious. Enough for everybody to fit in and still spaces left to move about. I love that we have other room given for children to eat and drink and also can use microwave! I love to do this even for myself!
- 5/5 from Fiona Dwisaptono, attended Feb 2021: The kids really enjoy it. The selection of beads are amazing. The teacher was really patient looking after these kids. Spacious space too. Love to come backthis time for the adults. Thank you so much.
