What you'll do

This is your opportunity to understand one of the most important elements of ART! By the end of just one session, you’ll be able to extend the range of colours you use and replicate a colour when you need to mix or match one! Why limit yourself to ‘set colours’ when you could ‘make’ every colour?

During this informative workshop, I’ll teach you the basics of Colour Theory and give you the opportunity to explore and practise mixing colours using a variety of both painting and drawing materials.

There comes a point in your art journey when you want to feel confident with colour. Using colours intuitively is wonderful, but knowing a little ‘theory’ really helps to eliminate frustrations!

Colour is used to describe form, texture, perspective, and atmosphere. Colour also affects the mood of an artwork.

I’ll be sharing practical tips that will save you time and money while you go on a fun adventure of discovery. Imagine how you feel when you can fully understand the correct terminology and get consistent results when you know what colours you want to make.

By the end of the session, you will take home colour mixing samplers including one hand-painted colour wheel and at least one colourful study (artwork) on paper.
