He was very patient and receptive to questions. I feel confident to launch into using print files and that I know which types of printers and filaments to use.

In the workshop, Jay was passionate and engaging. I've learnt all about the process of 3D printing and feel prepared. I understand what to watch out for, how to care for the equipment and what to do if something went wrong during printing. It was cool to see the wide applications of 3D printing as well. I look forward to exploring this hobby.

This class was structured and easy to follow if your goal is to understand the basic concepts, costs and safety protocols. Jaimyn was incredible in answering questions, giving practical answers that mostly comes from experience. Pretty productive and interesting for a Sunday morning!

Lots of practice tips was provided. The organisation is a non for profit and workshop fees goes towards supporting the organisation, which is a great idea. I know know what a benchy looks like. Only thing we did not do is understand where we could park before we left how and would recommend you do that before arriving if you are driving.

Also suitable for people who have had a go at 3D printing and need more information on practical tips and techniques. Easy parking too even though it is in the Valley. Price point was very reasonable. Probably better suited to adults than children, as there is a fair bit of theory which will interest adults who want to learn about the topic but would probably not fully engage most children. Teenagers would be fine.

In my previous scientific job, we used 3D printing for some equipment developed and I was very impressed by how the technology has moved so that virtually anyone can use it. I was surprised that there was no emphasis on how to design pieces as so many things are now available on line. My only worry was that while the emphasis on chemicals was highlighted, I think Jaimyn underestimated the chemical risks involved.

I can definitely recommend the event whether you are looking to find the right 3D printer or already have one, but want to know more about its workings.

I felt like he greatly valued our learning and provided a very friendly introduction to 3D printing and to the Makerspace in general. Plus, getting direct assurance from him that the space is inclusive and LGBT-friendly was a huge green flag!

Teacher was friendly, communicated well that everything he said was easy to understand.

They made the experience really approachable and we’re happy to cater the workshop to our groups knowledge and interests specifically. The workshop was super informative and had good physical examples for us to reference and interact with through also. This is a really good starter intro into 3d printing and I believe was good value for money. The space is in a great location and despite being small has made good use of what they have to allow many projects and interests to be serviced.
