I am Alana (she/her), a visual artist, jewelry-maker, and art therapist based in Brisbane.

I began my career in Fine Arts. After graduating with a BFA, I slowly built a contemporary art practice making ephemeral art installations and finely detailed drawings. Later, I spent a year living in Oaxaca, Mexico, where I learned a ton of new crafts; this also spurred a deep passion for traditional arts and crafts as well as an inquiry into the benefits and importance of making things by hand. Later, I completed a Master's in Therapeutic Arts Practice and have since been combining all of my interests and skills into unique workshop offerings!

Creating together is truly powerful - learning, experimenting, and making mistakes together make group class experiences fun, supportive, and memorable.

I have taught in festival settings, women's retreats, and schools. Seeing the incredibly diverse and unique ways people express themselves creatively is my favorite part of teaching and is truly inspirational (despite what you may think about the "quality" of your work!).
