  • 5/5 from Keren Underwood, attended Apr 2024: A lovely, creative way to enjoy a Sunday morning. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hour introduction to alcohol ink art, lead by the delightful Monique Ford. Having demonstrated and given us a chance to explore the basics of this technique Monique let us have free reign with our creativity. We loved it so much we are now looking at getting our own starter set of materials.

  • 5/5 from Gaye Higgs, attended Mar 2024: There was no occasion. The teacher was great. She was really helpful and very supportive. The venue was great and had really good parking. It was easy to find. All I had to do was go onto google maps. I recognized the place and that it was across from the Buderim hotel. I used google maps to identify markers around where I have to pull in. So a bus stop was something that I identify that was before the turn off into the car park. Really easy. The materials were really good. Really lovely bright colours. and the teacher was great at showing use how to use these colours. I learnt how to use Alcohol inks. I have used these in pen form but not as ink. So they are used in conjunction with Alcohol as a medium where it is blown across the page to make stains on the paper. Creates beautiful artwork. Yes, the class was good value for money, and the participants were really lovely too. I like creating the artwork. In fact I wanted to stay around and play with the materials.

  • 5/5 from Lyn Donald, attended Dec 2023: I loved this class. Monique was an excellent teacher. She explained everything clearly and demonstrated everything before we tackled the ink and the paper. I had been wanted to try inks for a while but needed to understand the fundamentals of how it functioned before possibly wasting lots of materials on my own. I feel able to take what Monique taught us and apply it now. This was a happy and relaxed class.

All of the art materials were provided and was very organised with labels to identify the colours including the correct PPE as the smells can be strong. I enjoyed the experience of creating something different and unique. I would highly recommend this class to someone who is wanting to explore alcohol ink art as Monique is a great teacher with a lot of patience and understanding.
  • 5/5 from Tess Meyer, attended Dec 2021: We had a lot of fun at our alcohol ink art class. Monique was very friendly and supportive with extensive knowledge and experience of the mediums used. A whole range of inks were available for our use, with lots fun and laughter to be had. We will definitely be back for more.
  • 5/5 from Fern Trouchet, attended Oct 2021: Monique was a great teacher. I took my Aunt who isn’t very creative (her words) and it was a very freeing and fun, for both of us. We had all of the resources that we could need and learnt many different techniques to help us creative our own artworks. We also loved the notes that we got to take home with us.
  • 5/5 from Fern Trouchet, attended Sep 2021: Monique was really friendly and knowledgeable. The supplies were of a high quality. Monique has a great teaching strategy to use with people who are complete beginners to alcohol inks, starting small and progressing to larger paper. I would 110% recommend for anyone wanting to try something new. Great value for money.
