Hello and welcome!

My name is Michelle Sparks and I am a self taught artist with an intuitive sense of composition and colour.

As a child I was excited by colour and engrossed in creating and drawing. I began experimenting with painting at the age of 38 with many different mediums including acrylics, watercolours, pencil, sketches and inks. My paintings are a rich exploration of my love and passion for colour.

I have always gravitated to colours that are vibrant and bold, which create a real statement in any space. My artworks are described as contemporary abstract and landscape pieces, which often include a pop of neon. I use many layers of acrylic paints on canvas to depict colourful images of Australian landscapes.

My aim is to capture a sense of joy & happiness within my pieces, which has given me the opportunity to gain followers and collectors worldwide.

I began teaching Alcohol Ink workshops in 2022 to give back to the world. I feel like the art of alcohol inks is one that anyone can access with no need for prior experience & readily have beautiful pieces to walk away with & frame.

Teaching the importance of mindfulness & activities that help us slow down in our lives is so important for our mental health. These classes do exactly that & I’ve had 5star feedback after every session so far.

You won’t regret it! X
