Artisans of Australia is a vibrant and unique space, set in the heart of the Bellarine Peninsula, providing a rare opportunity to enrich your life with a visit to see local artisans working in their studios, visit a regional gallery, enjoy a coffee and snack made with nationally sourced ingredients, purchase works direct from the artists, and to learn a new skill, or enhance an existing one, through a wide variety of classes.

There is an emphasis on Australian artisans, with works from across Australia being displayed, and demonstrations and classes hosted by practicing Australian artists. We work with Australian artists at all stages of their career and our range of teachers / mediums is an example of the incredible talent in Australia; with so many people ready to pass on their knowledge and skills to each other.

Sharing knowledge and ideas is a key component, as well as being an inclusive and accessible space.

Having never painted I found the experience really enjoyable. Adie was very good in her explanation of technique and effects achievable.
Sorry to be coming to the end of the class next week but hoping another class will follow soon.
The last creation is pictured below and I rushed out to get a frame. I love it and thoroughly enjoyed the process

This is the second class I’ve done with Adie. She makes it fun and interesting. I learnt lots of different techniques. All materials were supplied and we had the use of lots of different media. I highly recommend this class and the teacher.

Thank-you for another fantastic class. Gaye was a wealth of information and shares her knowledge in a kind and friendly manner, like an old friend. The class was well paced so there was never a dull moment, and kept us trying out new techniques and mediums. I really enjoyed the experimentation approach, with no pressure to produce a masterpiece! I also appreciated the extra hour added to the class.
I would be interested in moving on to the next step, particularly alcohol inks and mixed media or alcohol inks collages and 3D works (I have seen an interesting technique online with burning holes in the Yupo paper). Thanks again for another valuable and enjoyable workshop!

I really loved this class. Gaye is a great teacher. She taught us how to use the inks on several mediums so we could decide which one we liked best. It was good to be able to take some finished works home. Great value for money. I’m looking forward to the next one.

I loved this class. This class was guided by artists who have different techniques, which they were willing to pass onto us Going through the theory, and then seeing the different methods of creating resin artwork before creating my own on the day was great. I loved what I created and feel like I'd definitely like to create more in the future.

The teacher was very lovely and informative. The class was fun and had lots of variety. I loved that we got to choose two coloured inks and were supplied with all the required materials. Could have gone for a bit longer as it felt rushed near the end.

I have really enjoyed this experience. Art was definitely at the bottom of my list of skills, but now I know that with Effi's help I can do it. The only issue I had was the discomfort of the plastic chairs, but this has been resolved with the use of another chair.

Effie is a great instructor gets right into business from the get go. Very practical and provides ongoing individual guidance as appropriate. Many tips hints and recommendations also very generous with some take always.
Time goes too fast. The space is welcoming and inspiring the table a little wobbly. The cafe staff very accommodating in busing in a tasty treat and coffee.

Great venue, especially with a cafe on site.
Karen and Chris were informative, helpful and created a friendly and positive atmosphere.
Preplanning - lesson notes, materials and set up were excellent.
The wooden trays etc. were beautiful and value for money.

Loved Beth and her teaching and her ideas for being creative with life drawing and what other classes could do.
